Postal regulator's travel raises concerns

Some postal experts are raising eyebrows over the travel activities of Postal Regulatory Commission Chairman Ruth Goldway since she assumed the post in August 2009.
Since then, Goldway has taken 34 trips at a total cost of almost $71,000, according to records obtained by Federal Times under the Freedom of Information Act.
Her predecessor, Dan Blair, took 25 trips worth about $59,000 during a slightly longer stint as chairman of the commission, which oversees the U.S. Postal Service.
