The Sedentary Senate: Commonsense Amendments to Marketplace Fairness Act Blocked

In an exchange with his Senate colleagues, Dr. Coburn offers his amendments to the Marketplace Fairness Act, including amendments to lawmakers the tools to identify duplication and to ensure federal employees pay federal taxes among others. All receive objection. "I'm not happy about what's happening in the Senate," Dr. Coburn said. "I think we ought to be working to solve the real problems, the biggest problems in our country...but we're not going to be able to address that. The time for us to be acting is now."
