No more funny money: Dr. Coburn objects to Leader Reid's proposal to replace sequestration cuts with savings from war spending and outlines areas of egregious spending and waste that should be addressed first before delaying flights to make political points. "This is a contrived situation, because no effort, zero effort by the FAA or the Department of Transportation has been made to have any flexibility in terms of how they spend their money...they don't want flexibility," Dr. Coburn said. "The President is the CEO of this country. He can make this happen with the least amount in inconvenience for the American people. The question is: will he or not...and when you ask the President do you want flexibility, he says no. He says I'll veto your bill...that tells me it's all political."
