Dr. Coburn Statement on Passing of Henry Bellmon
(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – ^U.S. Senator Tom Coburn, M.D. (R-OK) released the following statement today regarding the passing of Henry Bellmon.
“There are few lives that could paint a better portrait of the Oklahoma spirit than the life of Henry Bellmon. He committed his life to his country and the state of Oklahoma. Bellmon bravely defend this nation as a Marine in some of the toughest battles of WWII. As a governor and senator, he was an independent man who stood for what he believed was right. He enjoyed any day on the farm more than any day in a suit. Henry Bellmon was a man of great humility, courage and selflessness. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends,” Dr. Coburn said.^
