Opinion: A thoughtful leader
Letter to the Editor, The Oklahoman
I’m not a proponent of cloning, but I’d like to clone U.S. Sen. Tom Coburn 99 times and send them all to Washington. Coburn is not just a politician. His integrity, character and wisdom have elevated him to statesman stature. In Washington political circles, this is as rare as a four-leaf clover. Coburn has a vision for Oklahoma but also sees the big picture and has a vision for our country. If he could, he’d stop the pork barrel spending and the bridges to nowhere. Contrary to the recent dispute over breast cancer research, Coburn would welcome a cure for breast cancer as he would for all cancer. He is a thoughtful leader who’s against wasting taxpayer money and political grandstanding. I salute him! All Oklahomans should be proud that he’s our senator.
